Faculty
The School has maintained an excellent faculty with a diverse range of interests, philosophies, and expertise. Collectively, the faculty have received numerous grants, design awards, and other types of recognition as outlined on their web sites. Most are registered architects and many are members of the AIA. Their terminal degrees were earned at a representative cross section of institutions of higher learning including Architectural Association, Auburn Univ., Cambridge Univ., Clemson Univ., Columbia Univ., Cranbrook Academy of Arts, Georgia Tech., Harvard Univ., Princeton Univ., SCI-ARC, Syracuse Univ., Univ. of Florida, Univ. of Mich., Univ. of Minnesota, Univ. of Pennsylvania, Virginia Tech., and Washington Univ. Three faculty have Ph.D. degrees, and one has a D.Des.. Faculty devote about 60% of their time to teaching with a normal teaching load consisting of a six-hour studio and three-hour lecture course per semester.
