Study Abroad Opportunity: Rome Summer 2018 Workshop

October 23rd, 2017 Comments Off on Study Abroad Opportunity: Rome Summer 2018 Workshop

Have you ever wanted to try to sketch the completion of an unfinished Michelangelo sculpture, draw the theatrics of a Bernini interior, or just dreamed of visiting Italy?

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design (CAAD) has partnered with the University of Arkansas Rome Center (UARC) for a summer study abroad program. Students will live in the heart of the city – only a short walk to the Piazza Navona, the ancient Forum, and the Vatican with excursions to Florence, Siena, and Pompeii.  Courses will count for six credit hours toward graduation. These courses cover the university core classes, program-specific electives, and credits required for minors in CAAD departments.

The trip will be led by Andrew Tripp, Ph.D., and Fred Esenwein, Ph.D., from the School of Architecture, and they welcome students from across CAAD to join them.  They will hold an informational meeting in the Giles Hall Jury Room, across from the Bob and Kathy Luke Library, on Fri., Oct. 27 from 12 – 1 p.m.

The Tau Sigma Delta student organization is hosting the event and will be selling burgers and hotdogs.
