  • Graphic Design Entry Portfolio Review Workshop is Wednesday, September 20, 6:30 – 7:30 PM in Stafford Hall room 200
    • During this workshop Graphic Design faculty will review the application process and portfolio requirements. All students intending to apply to the Graphic Design concentration this fall must attend!
    • Portfolios must be turned in to the Dean’s Office (Giles Hall, second floor) by Friday, November 10 at 12 p.m.
  • We are Photo Concentration Interest Meeting will be held Friday, October 20 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in Briscoe Hall room 215.
    • Digital portfolios are due on Monday, December 11 by 11:59 p.m.
  • 2018 Fine Art Entry Portfolio Workshop will be held Thursday, February 15 from 11 – 12 p.m. in Briscoe Hall room 204 (Printmaking Studio).
    • Portfolios must be turned into the main Art office in Freeman Hall by Friday, March 2, 2018 at 12 p.m.

Career Corner

  • L.A. Green is seeking an intern to assist with photography. The selected student will be an essential member of the graphics team. This internship will include photo shoots, helping out on shoots, events and post-production items, including: scheduling photo shoots with model, editing work and preparing images for digital use, and other items. If you are a proactive, detail-orientated a problem-solver then we are looking for you! This unpaid internship will begin in September 2017. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who understands photographing beautiful images of clothing for use on digital platforms. Experience with video and video editing a plus, but not required.
    • Preferred skills include:
      • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
      • Experience with photography

Exhibition Opportunity

  • The University of Tennessee at Martin is sponsoring Bellwethers 2017, a regional art competition, this fall! This Juried Exhibition of Collegiate Student Art will be on display at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center in Humboldt, Tennessee from October 24 through November 21, 2017.
    • Interested students should submit their entry form, fees, and digital files of their work to the University of Tennessee at Martin Fine Arts office by September 29.
