Mississippi State University graphic design students won 10 top awards in the 2013 National REAL Show sponsored by the Art Director’s Club of Washington, D.C. There were 248 entries from 11 different schools with 31 pieces selected to be in the show.

In the Poster Category, Alaina Anglin won a Gold Medal, Matt Motes  and Ashley Coulter won Silver Awards, and Brooke Boyd and Cayla Boyd won Merit Awards.

In the Identity Category, Robbie Richardson and Paige McDonnell won a Silver Award, and Katie Tully, Katelyn Howard and Emma Geiger won Merit Awards.

The work was created in Professors Jamie Burwell Mixon, Jude Landry and Jamie Runnells’ classes in the spring 2013 semester.

The Real Show is an annual competition giving college students from around the nation the opportunity to solve real-life communication design problems. This year, students competed in the areas of identity, web design, poster design and editorial design. The work was exhibited at the DC Design Center in Washington in April.
