Brent Funderburk, a MSU Department of Art professor, has been invited to present a one-person exhibition in Beijing, China, in spring, 2013.

As a visiting scholar, Funderburk will show a new body of artwork at the Beijing Technology and Business University.  BTBU is a public, comprehensive university in the capital city of the People’s Republic of China, with over 19,000 students and over 800 faculty.

“I have always had a growing affinity with the space and intent of traditional Chinese brush painting – to be able to work and be surrounded by the actual art and atmosphere is thrilling for me to anticipate,” said Funderburk.

BTBU and its School of Art and Communication will also host Funderburk as he lectures and demonstrates his creative process for two weeks in June, 2013.
