HOW Design has recognized four of MSU’s graduating seniors from the spring 2010 BFA Graphic Design class. Jackie Baxter, Stevie Boudreaux, Carl Carbonell and Sara Lauderdale have had their self-promos selected and published as student MERIT Winners in the September/October 2010 issue of the International HOW Self Promo Design Annual.
HOW recognized only fifteen students in total.  MSU and Temple University were the only institutions in the country to have four students honored.
The promos were created in Professor Jamie Mixon’s ART4640 Advanced Graphics Portfolio class. Students made self-promotional materials in the class and created their final portfolio of work. They were also required to formally present their portfolio to faculty and students at the end of the semester.
