Two students were part of the 78 winning designs chosen by HOW’s editorial and design team out of nearly 1,000 entries. According to HOW, winning projects demonstrated an ideal mix of concept, strategy and execution. Entries were judged by type of work and by how effectively the design achieved the stated business goals.
Katherine Smith, a December 2011 graduate, received a merit award for her self-promotion “Hire the Redhead.”
Molly Moon’s self-promo. also won a merit award.
The students both created the projects in the Graphic Design Portfolio course, ART4640, which is a requirement during the last semester in the BFA | Graphic Design Concentration.
The winners will be featured in the September 2012 issue of HOW Magazine and will be spotlighted at HOWdesign.com.
