This May, twelve students from Art and Interior Design took part in The Chair, a class taught by Professor Critz Campbell.
Over just three weeks, students worked with vacuum pressing techniques to create common laminated back and seat elements. Then they designed and drafted unique chairs incorporating the seat and back elements. A field trip to Birmingham allowed students to purchase quality woods for their projects, including maple, walnut, oak, and purple heart.
