McBroom had three 42”x66” oil paintings accepted to the show – “Lying Pig,” “Sitting Pig” and “Standing Pig.”

All the exhibit entries were reviewed by juror Maxine Payne, associate professor of art at Hendrix College, and McBroom’s “Standing Pig” took third place.

The alumnus has also received a work grant to serve as an artist-in-residence in the Vermont Studio Center for the month of August.
