Richmond Wolves

Hunkered down in my Richmond, VA, hotel, attending SECAC, I had a facebook exchange with a number of friends that drew my attention to two Richmond facts.

1) Richmond is an extremely common place name–apparently “the most duplicated English place name worldwide” (thanks Jamie Findlay). And,

2) Tom Wolfe was born and raised in Richmond, VA (thanks Andrew Sharp).

These facts, plus a bit of Virginia Woolf (one time resident of Richmond, Surrey)  led to this haiku. Oh, and I suppose there’s a bit of Warren Zevon in there too.
