Fall 2015 Collaborative Tectonics Studio

Second-year Architecture and Building Construction Science students in the Collaborative Studio spent the semester building a steep slope sleeping shelter prototype for the Hood Boy Scout Reservation outside of Jackson, MS. The prototype unit was constructed in Starkville, MS in the fall of 2016 and delivered to the installation site in Hazlehurst, MS this past July. This December the Boy Scouts began installation of the prototype unit with intent to complete the earthworks and landscaping this spring 2018.
