INvision | MSU Visual Arts Summer Program | June 6-13, 2014

INvision offers an exciting, intensive, one week in-residence summer program to introduce students to majors in the studio fields of art and design. The program provides an opportunity for talented high school age students (16 and above) and incoming freshman to experiment and learn about majors and careers in the professional art world. You’ll have the opportunity to work and socialize with other students from diverse backgrounds interested in making and talking about art.

Studio Classes
Students will have full days that include fundamentals of drawing and design, building materials and computer art applications. At the end of the program students will exhibit their work at the Visual Arts Center Gallery. The exhibit will be open to the MSU community, family, and friends.

Why Become an Artist?
Throughout the week faculty and professionals in the visual and design fields, such as sculptors, graphic designers, illustrators, interior designers, fashion designers, and landscape architects will engage students and discuss creative career opportunities.

Cultural and Social Activities
Students will be exposed to an array of cultural and social activities such as: artist lecture series, gallery exhibitions, movie night, and field trips.
