And with world-‐class customer service and a growing community of users, Airbnb is the easiest way for people to monetize their extra space and showcase it to an audience of millions.

Airbnb is a key Leadership Level sponsor at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. At the Festival, Airbnb will continue to build their reputation as the world’s most interesting hospitality company by extending their experiential campaign and building upon their signature ‘local’ point of view to plan awe-inspiring experiences.  Airbnb will engage and support the creative community at the Sundance Film Festival through an experiential and content-driven campaign.

Goals include: Supporting and fostering creativity, Garnering and maximizing media coverage, Increasing general brand awareness, Engaging creative community as our core demo as well as the international travel community

Quite simply, Airbnb wants to provide people with access to the best stories as well as the most interesting people and experiences at the Sundance Film Festival, all within a place that feels reminiscent of a cozy, comfortable lodge.

Airbnb will take over the former Blue Iguana restaurant, just off of main Street in the heart of the most highly trafficked area of Park City, UT. Working with a relevant host and designer, the space will be transformed into a communal ‘lodge’, featuring a rustic yet modern design aesthetic, reminiscent of a cozy cabin and providing the ‘comforts of home’ – Wi-fi, library of books, cocoa bar, etc. The main floor will serve as a public space at all times. The Lodge will function as a gathering space for curated events, both public and private, targeted to festival attendees, members of the public, and members of the creative community and film industry. Within the lodge, the main floor will be meant for public use – a space where people come together during the Sundance activation dates; other areas can be used for private spaces, as necessary. Additional needs: functioning kitchen, bathrooms, office space, lounge areas, etc.
