Building Construction Science Summer 2021 Studio
After not being able to hold in-person studio last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mississippi State University Building Construction Science Program first-year summer studio is back and hard at work.
Classes began June 2 with Professors Lee Carson and Richard Chenoweth and Shop Technician Charles Beckwith.
Students have been working on a design-build project – a modular building with three primary modules.
They began by learning about construction materials, drafting, using small tools, building models and implementing construction of the full-sized building they designed, which is expected to be completed next month.
