Field trips are an important component of education for students in the College of Architecture, Art and Design. Architecture students in first through fourth-year will travel with their studio this week to various destinations across the country.
BARNworks is an abridged collection of student work from the Mississippi State University School of Architecture. BARNworks includes works from all five studio years, as well as the college's research centers.
The article, titled "Service Learning and Social Justice in Architecture Education: Teaching Students to Design for the 'Other'," is currently available in the journal's online bookstore, with hardcopies available for future purchase.
Baleigh A. Hull, a senior architecture major, won first in the Arts and Humanities category of the 2019 Mississippi State Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium. She was advised by Silvina Lopez Barrera, assistant professor in the School of Architecture.

The former associate director and longtime 5th-Year Program Director will replace Michael Berk, who retired June 30.
