The furniture making course, ART 4733, taught by Associate Professor and Sculpture Coordinator Critz Campbell had another succesful semester.

Throughout the course, students worked on sketching, mocking up, drafting, prototyping and fabricating chair designs.

According to Campbell, most students employed a common curved element in their back and seat. The curved wood is maple skateboard decking material, and the curve is created by laminating seven layers of the decking material together.

The curved elements were then vacuum-formed on a mold made in the class.

Students in the course this semester included:
Darren Cheairs
Izzy Cottrell
Mikayla Evans
Cecillia Lemus
Chauncey Mangum
Alison Meeler
Josh Meyer
Alliegh Moffett
Ryne Riebock
Matthew Rogers
Kenan Simpkins
Shaquita Woodson
