Momma
This body of work is a commentary on the deep connection I share with my Mom. It is a visual journal of my childhood memories- moments and feelings that cannot be described with words. Reflecting upon my youth and the ways in which my Mom is responsible for so much of who I am has resulted in this honest, quirky, and playful body of work. Though the paintings are incredibly personal, they prompt a remembering of who we are and how we are the same in our need for intimacy, security, and relationship.
