Thesis Statement

I present my ceramic artifacts as a collection from an unusual, ancient planetary system. Each artifact holds details of an alien culture and their travels, charting a changing culture and how it collapsed. The collection is presented as if a team of professionals discovered the objects and are slowly piecing together the details left behind.  

As I developed my project, I created and expanded upon different themes and concepts. The most common artifacts are pillar-like objects that seem to depict concepts, mythical figures, aspects of daily life, and possibly even historical lineages.
